October is a quick month and I've made trips to dermatologists (I'll write more about that in an upcoming post). As I've been making some changes in my skincare starting from late Oct according to the derm's advice, it's a bit slow on the empties front this month (and the months to come). There's things I can use and things I can't use, but more on that later.
Kiehl's Calendula Alcohol-free Toner - Talked about this a zillion times before. I'll still use the samples that I have, but will no longer buy this anymore. I'll talk about why when I delve into my skin condition and my recent discovery post. All I can say is, it'll be a good change.
Giorgio Armani Delicate Cleansing Balm - This is an OK product to remove residual makeup, I just prefer micellar waters as the first step of makeup removal lately. I don't know what "delicate" means in this cleansing balm, it seems to be randomly slapped onto the packaging to me anyway. It's a cleansing cream to be used dry on skin with dry hands, and you rinse with water.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose - This is probably the 2nd lip product I've finished in my entire life (and this is a deluxe sample). I really like it just for the metal tube, it feels very solid, and it comes with SPF and a slight tint. Better than the Revlon Lip Butters IMO.
Jill Stuart Moist Silk Liquid Foundation - On my 3rd? 4th? tube of this and I'll continue to run through what I have, it's great as it feels less 'waxy' than Armani Designer Lift (whose coverage is AMAZING, by the way, but at a cost skin-wise).
Boots Soothing Eye Makeup Remover - Got this from the clearance shelves in Bangkok. It's dirt cheap and is OK, my only complaint is that the oil and the water separates REALLY quick after a good shake, so I always ended up using much more of the oil part than the water part below...all in all, not bad.
L'occitane Marvelous Flowers Shower Gel - Marvelous Flowers?! REALLY?! It smells like bland floral scent anyway, and there's nothing marvelous or unique about the smell. Just an average shower gel.
Natural Empathy Tip to Toe Wash - Smells AMAZING. It says "English countryside" which I think is pretty accurate, but I"ll throw in the lavender as well here. The scent is uplifting, relaxing and soothing even. I'll buy the full size if I can track down where they sell this, I'm serious!
Fits Japan Pure Brown Mascara - Messy gooey sh*t it is. Upon opening, its appearance is too runny, like a liquid glue form (with a wet sheen), and how are you supposed to use this formula on your lashes? It weighs my lashes down while it dries, not to mention the formula takes a long time to dry completely. Not worth the effort. Although I must admit I bought this due to the brown-eyed idea at first.
Bausch & Lomb Re-nu contact lens solution - 1 jumbo sized (= 2 full sized) + a sample finished. Well-stocked on this.
DHC Eye Mask and MBD Pearl Powder Mask - Finished.
Diptyque Eau Moheli EDT - Not my cuppa tea. I like most Diptyque scents but this one just doesn't cut it.
Hakugen 5-layer cotton puffs - Trusted company with micellar waters!
So there you have it:
Full Size: (42) + 5 = 47
Deluxe Samples: (66) + 7 = 73
Small / Packet samples: (68) + 0 = 68
Masks: (78) + 2 = 80
Tossed: (15) + 0 = 15
Yay you're doing so well with empties!
ReplyDeleteQuestion about the Hakugen cotton puffs - can you peel the layers?? I'm looking for the cotton puffs that are peel-able to do DIY sheet masks but not many brands have this option.
Hi Ashley! yes the cotton puff layers can be peeled off, it takes a bit of time to peel the whole box of puffs though! but it's worth the effort :)
