I had taken a break during the past month or two, mainly in preparation of our trip to the US. Today I brought you another empties post for the months from May - June. Since we're almost constantly on-the-go, pics of the empties were taken at once whenever there are any!
Benefit Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer in 02 Medium - This one reminded me of the good ol' days! My dark circles used to be so easily covered with this thing (sigh). This had been used up ages ago but I recently found it at the bottom of my drawer.
The Body Shop White Musk Sumptuous Silk Shower Gel - LOVE this scent, it's my 3rd bottle.
Jurlique Moisture Replenishing Day Cream - I have no idea why this can be a day cream. It's greasy after initial application! I used it on my hands anyway - the grease seemed to subside a bit after 5 minutes? Anyways I have another tube to go, luckily it's just a deluxe sample. Oh, and the content left my hands dry overnight, gah!
5-layer cotton puffs - Usual staples. I can buy this stuff in bulk, I mean, 100 boxes, please?
Tatcha Aburatorigami Blotting Sheets - Came as part of a set. Not particularly impressed, nor it was bad.
Dr. Bronner's Pure Castille Soap in Almond - This has got to be my favourite scent out of the whole range, next to Rose scent. This stuff cleanses and lathers effectively without harsh chemicals.
WIPES.
Dr. Bronner's Organic Hand & Body Shikakai Soap in Lemongrass Lime - This formula is different from castille soap mentioned above. It has a thicker consistency and extremely concentrated so a pea-sized dollop will lather immensely. This bottle lasted me for 3-4 months? And I'm a frequent hand-washer (bordering excessive).
More puffs!
Apivita Propoline Shampoo for men - OK I didn't use this one but ya know.
John Masters Organics Zinc & Sage shampoo with Conditioner - So-so? I was too jet-lagged to remember how it performed on my hair, lol.
Kiehl's Vanilla & Cedarwood Skin Softening Body Lotion - Adorable, warm and welcoming scent. I tried their shower gel of the same scent and loved it so much.
CRYSTAL Body Deodorant Spray - This stopped working for me all of a sudden when it's on its last legs? Anyways I've been loyal to this spray for YEARS. Like more than 10 years? I've already got a backup in my bathroom in case everything runs out / my new 'natural' deodorant didn't work.
Chanel Eye Makeup Remover - Must-have for travel trips!
Lavera Q10 Hydrating Cream - Used as body lotion, absorbs nicely.
Korres Guava little shower gel - Scent was delightful but I think it's time to stop using Korres once the remaining stock finishes.
Rahua Shampoo & Conditioner - Have always viewed the Rahua range with a skeptic eye but WOAH. Their stuff works wonders to my frizzy hair (it's either the hard water in North America or the poor beddings from hotels - I've always had hair troubles whenever I'm traveling - my hair is basically fine at home). This duo made my hair so baby soft, that I already ordered the full size Conditioner (OUCH look at the price tag)! But a little goes a long way.
NARS Eye Makeup Remover - Frankly speaking I can't really testify this product since there's only 5-7ml...
DHC Eye Mask - Great staple for road trips.
John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Face Creme Cleanser - So-so, it's not working wonders.
Shu Uemura Face Architect Foundation - Nowadays Shu foundations always leave a 'mask' feeling on my skin. Just. No. More. Plus they're not easy to remove thoroughly.
Balance Me Rose Otto Body Wash - The bottle is extremely hard to squeeze/dispense, the wash itself is mediocre. Cleansing ability is a little bit below mediocre I'd say.
Rahua Conditioner - LOVEEEE what it did to my hair. All. Tamed.
MAC Pearl Glide liner in Black Line - Nice black with golden shimmer flecks in it. It'll be missed.
RMS Beauty Living Luminizer - Fortunate to obtain a sample from an online order. I think it broke my forehead out when I tried to use it between my brows along my nose bridge...when used as an eyeshadow base, it creased and left a white line on my crease.......................
Caudalie Divine Oil - I'm still on the fence whether I need to buy this in a bigger size or not. Scent-wise is of course amazing.
Apivita Propoline shampoo for men - Not mine.
Rahua Conditioner - Same as mentioned
Mitchell & Peach English Greens Body Wash - Smells like lavender and fresh cut grass. English countryside? The scent is to die for.
L'Occitane Revitalizing Fresh Shampoo and Conditioner - Scent was OK but not sure what it did to my hair.
Trilogy Cream Cleanser - A bit runny but gentle enough.
Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo - Not sure what it did to my hair.
Bausch & Lomb Re-nu Contact Lens solution.
Bioderma Sensibio Micellar water - This size is great for travel I wish they'd sell this more, instead of coming as part of a set.
Rahua Shampoo - This is a gem but I'd rather invest in the conditioner.
John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Face Creme Cleanser - As reviewed above.
TALIKA Lipocils Expert Eyelash Conditioning Gel - This stuff made my lashes grow so much longer and more visible (pigmented aka more obvious). I plan to change a new one every 6 months. Formal review HERE. However I just bought my replacement lately and the price has hiked up so ridiculously - I'll not be buying this nonsense after finishing my new tube!
More John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Face Creme Cleanser.
DHC Eye Mask.
John Masters Organics Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash - Smells like a cheese cake but I grew tired of the scent after first use.
Paul & Joe Light Cleansing Milk N - OK as a double-cleanse makeup remover, nothing wild about it.
SANA Hadanomy Collagen Face Mask - This thing has been discontinued in HK and it was so moisturizing and refreshing!
Aesop Fabulous Face Cleanser - Smells like citrus and geranium! Unfortunately too tiny to notice any effect.
Suki Moisture-rich Cleansing Lotion - This one smells like the SUGAS squared chewable candies in LEMON!! Lovely texture.
Kimberly Sayer Gentle Face Cleanser - Love the texture, great for secondary makeup removal step.
Kimberly Sayer Light Cleansing Lotion - This one is slightly runnier than the two on the left, but great nevertheless.
Kiehl's Calendula Toner - Used to be favourite.
Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover - Not the greatest but is a cult product for many. It was just OK to me.
1028 ph7.5 Hydrating Lip & Eye Makeup Remover - Cheapie but goodie!
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (TOSSED) - This has to go to the bin because the texture has become funky. It's no longer a thick cream but like watery gel. So many eye creams, so little time . #firstworldproblems
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 030 Classic Beige (TOSSED) - This one is past its prime. Shade was a rather remote match but still workable. It's just been here for too long, I think 4-5 years?
Sara Happ The Lip Slip One Luxe Gloss (TOSSED) - Cult favourite product in a tube form. Love the way it hydrates my lips in sub-zero weather, but I always ended up having some of it in my mouth (can taste it), hmm. This one has been standing for so long I think it's past its prime. Do try its original form in a pot and the tube is no different = equally amazing.
That's all for today!!
Oh wow - well done you. What a huge list of empties! I do agree that Jurlique face creams tend to be greasy and not suitable for humid weather, even if sleeping in a/c. Had to laugh at the eye cream - oh dear...it sounds very funky. I have to really control myself when it comes to eye creams because one takes more than six months for me to finish,
ReplyDeleteI've tried Jurlique's calendula cream and that one is OK (not greasy, not drying after application) but this day cream reviewed above left my hands with a high sheen (like they've been wrapped with GLAD food film...lol).
DeleteYes for some reason eye creams keep creeping up in the stash no matter full sized or samples alike...!
Oh wow, so...many...empties! I didn't realize you had Santaverde there, that's pretty cool. That Kiehl's body lotion sounds lovely. Good to know that I need to stay away from Shu Uemura foundations. It's a shame because I love their hair and skin care products.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa,
DeleteI got the santaverde from a beauty box (it came full sized), it's a lovely cleanser but I cannot fathom paying full price for being what it is (aloe Vera gel?) even though it's GREAT!
shu foundation seems to work wonders for many and their coverage is pretty good! I only like their eyeshadows and brushes and stay away from their skincare. Their pressed powder is nice, however.
Any special reason for no more korres?
ReplyDeletebecause they're not completely free from chemical surfectants :)
