Guerlain Les Tendres Spring 2015 Collection Review and Swatches

Ever since the promo images for Guerlain Spring 2015 have been released, I've been waiting for ages for it to launch - and so it had! Allow me to indulge you with a pic-heavy post on the latest collection from none other than GUERLAIN!!

I have arranged products with marshmallows, candies and jelly beans...to tell you how delicious the collection is!

Let Guerlain Spring 2015 take you to cloud nine...with dreamy, hazy, baby pinks and glow. This was the artful display at the launch event. Hmm...cloud nine...yes please!

We were sat in front of a row of foundations, the latest Spring collection to play with, here's how it looks.

(pictured clockwise from the left: Meteorites Baby Glow Light-Revealing Sheer Makeup SPF 25; Meteorites Perles de Blush; Meteorites Compact; Cils D'enfer Mascara; Kiss Kiss lipstick; Ecrin 4 Couleurs; Colour Lacquer; Meteorites Primer)

(pictured foundations: Parure Gold; Lingerie de Peau; Tenue de Perfection; Parure de Lumiere; Orchidee Imperiale in the front)

And the star product: Meteorites Perles de Blush in Angelic Radiance! As you can probably tell, the whole collection was inspired by how soft, plump, airy, fresh, tender the skin of babies and angels look. Adding the cherubic pink glow on the cheek and you have a fresh, angelic face in an instant. The whole collection centers around building a good complexion and adding softness and luminosity and glow to it.

Above the model was having her makeup put on and showcasing how a flawless cherubic look can be done; below was the after-product. You will see that her complexion was instantly brightened and glowy, she looked fresh and her facial features were more pronounced after a dusting of the meteorites compact.

Beautiful display of the collection below. Apart from the Meteorites Perles de Blush being the star product of the release, there are 3 shades of meteorites compacts released. Fans of the meteorites rejoice! Now we can finally take our favourite meteorites shades out in a compact and never fear of spilling any of the balls from the tin!

The other star product of the launch was Meteorites Baby Glow: 3 different shades to protect, perfect and add luminosity while catching different color of lights from different angles to create a flawless face. It can surely replace foundations for good-skin days! It's a complete joy to use as the texture is very blendable and light.

These products had been used to create a fresh-faced, angelic look (steps below).

First, start with Meteorites Perles Light Diffusing Perfecting Primer (the bottle that has perles in it as a liquid). It comes out in a light-reflecting, yet is not shimmery, pink that helps to brighten and prep the skin. Then I used Lingerie de Peau (hugs the skin like lingerie - hence its name!) and you can dust some foundation powder on top, which I did and used the Linergie de Peau Foundation compact. Or, you can skip the powder foundation and go to the next step.

This is a critical and essential step in the routine to a perfect complexion, I'm sure fans of Guerlain will know this: the METEORITES pearls / balls! Designed with different colors of pearls to correct redness, act upon sallowness and dullness, add a touch of warmth, the pearls are multi-functional. Swirl the Meteorites brush (pink brush in the pic) and sweep and dust it on you face and voila! The face will become even more high in definition and glowy-ness. I called the Meteorites a "magical touch" or "magic dust" as it's one easy, tiny step but yields so much difference in before and after application. Try it if you haven't, a tin of this will last a long long time and the perfecting effect achieved is well worth it! For the girls who are more on-the-go, a compact version is released this time and is great news for all of us who touch up during the day!

Here's Meteorites Perles de Blush in "Angelic Radiance" up close. Housed in a baby pink cardboard packaging with angels (Learned a new word: Toile / Toile de Jouy is how such print is called), 3 shades of pinks (oyster pink, pastel pink and cherry pink) were fused together in the form of the best-selling meteorites. Noticed some balls are larger and smaller than the rest? Their sizes were designed as such so that the brush would pick up more of a certain color and less of some, so it won't be a BOMB! PINK! but is buildable, transparent and glowy. Tip: use a round-end brush since it'll pick up the balls' color more evenly than, say a tapered cut brush.

Now this is the ultimate sweet candy push cart with pastel balloons and flowers arranged next to it! I almost fainted at the sight of this lovely scene. It speaks of sweetness, girly-ness and youthfulness.

And I will leave this post with a creative artwork of mine! Don't drool at it long though: get the meteorites blush before it sells out! Because IT WILL! xo
