It's mid-November and the weather here is like in deep winter - 11 to 12 degrees celcius, this would only happen for a few days during deep winter in Hong Kong, and now it will stay for about a week. Since winter arrives earlier, so does one of my favourite pasttime: having hotpots for meals *squeals*. Here's some pics of hotpots I had last week at a Japanese chain fast food store. I am having hotpot for tonight's dinner, it's the easiest meal to prepare, LOL!
The noodles in the bowl is Udon, some restaurants in Mainland China translated Udon into 'Mad Winter', which I recalled just now and chuckled when I typed. Udon in Cantonese literally composes the meaning of 'black, dark' and 'winter'. Calling it 'Mad Winter' is pretty funny, it perfectly describes the weather for this week!
Grab a beanie, a scarf, a thick coat and stay warm!
i love hotpot too!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to have my first hot pot this year, but will definitely look forward to checking out the selection of broths on offer. Y.U.M.M.Y!!
ReplyDeletemmm I love udon, could eat it anyday!!
ReplyDeleteBtw I read your complaint to JS and I must agree that what they did was really unfair to everyone! D:
