Review: Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N in 09 Midnight Shine

The Autumn/Winter season has come!! Time to get your boots out and get yourself some new clothes from the shops! This also means that I have loads of term papers and mid-terms to complete, and it also means exams are approaching :( !

So before I knew I will get super-busy in the coming weeks and may not be able to write reviews, here's my thoughts on Jill Stuart's Eye Jelly, the one that has new packaging and new formula! The shade is called 09 Midnight Shine, which is a frosty navy blue.

On the left: old packaging and old formula
On the right: new packaging and new formula (the one I am reviewing on)

Why do I say there is old formula and a new one?

Both packaging includes the same amount of product, but I found the old Eye Jelly less pigmented and more watery (less jell-0 like), while the new Eye Jelly is more pigmented and I don't need to layer it in order to see colors. The texture is also less watery. So, I will definitely go for the new ones, not only because their jars look prettier!

Price and Amount of product: 6 grams, probably going to last for a long while, its price is 3 times than that of Canmake, as mentioned last time. But to be fair, its price is just like a regular Bobbi Brown eyeshadow's price I guess, a little bit more than MAC's though.

Texture: wonderful jelly texture, not watery (the new formula, that is).

Pigmentation: Good, very buildable.

Compatibility with other products: the SA said these eye jellies are best to use as eye shadow base, then layer another navy blue powder eyeshadow on top of it for more intensity.

Ease of application: best applied with fingers. Be careful though, finger tips might not be able to spread the eye jelly close to the lash line, also you have to blend really nicely to even out the color.
