Two days ago, before I go for a shower, I get together the usual products which I was going to use during/after the shower, and this is what happened: these four product staples were all in aqua blue! Now, will you excuse me for the bad pun in the post title, that was completely random, but I decided a post would be on its way to introduce my shower time staples, and here we are.
L-R:
Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil
ORBIS CLEAR Lotion-M (toner)
Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Body Butter
MoroccanOil Intense Hydrating Mask for hair
Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil - makes hair dry faster and helps with knotty hair. Given to me by the lovely Jenice during our brief meetup last month! The product I assume is full of silicones and lacks the aromatic smell of MoroccanOil (reviewed here). I use this oil by Organix every other day because I worry it'll weigh my hair down. However, I don't have this problem with MoroccanOil, so I'll go back to MoroccanOil once this Organix bottle finishes (or before I can't bear it). Wish the Organix version comes with a handy pump though! The oil is transparent and clear instead of the yellow color found in MoroccanOil. I checked the ingredients list of Organix and MoroccanOil alike, both contains the infamous 'cones. Frankly speaking, there's nothing quite like the wonders MoroccanOil made to my hair so far. But at the moment, my wallet is too cheap for a replacement bottle of MoroccanOil (mine ran out a few months ago), lol. If anyone knows of an alternative that does not contain silicones, please share in the comments!
ORBIS CLEAR Lotion-M (toner) - my HG toner from a few years ago, this was one of the backups (yeah...right). A few years ago it was rated one of the best toners for fading acne scars in some Japanese magazines, I used the whole CLEAR line from ORBIS and my acne problem had completely gone away for the past 3-4 years, that is until last year my face broke out badly again. Anyway, I use this toner after I rinse any facial mask residues off during shower, to shrink the pores and seal in moisture. Oldie but goodie, non-irritating, no scent, does a decent job in soothing!
Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Body Butter - lately I've been on an empties project so naturally I picked this body butter for daily use. I really like the blood orange and white pepper scent, as with other products from Bliss, their scents are unique with a twist. The tube has 50ml. I found this moderately moisturizing, okay for 13-15 degrees celcius weather but not sure how enough it will be for under 10 degrees weather. The butter spreads evenly, leaves no greasy residue, I don't have to wait long to wear my clothes after applying!
MoroccanOil Intense Hydrating Mask for hair - has been test driving this product for the past month or so. My locks are dry and a bit frayed, this mask is the answer to my knotty hair (pun intended). This hair is a pure luxury that I love indulging in for twice a week. Full review to come soon.
Now, to make this post more coherent with its title, here are some pictures of a small botanic corner at some high-end cafe. Who would have guessed in a shabby street there's a florist cafe? I swear the cafe wasn't there the last time I dropped by that street. I snapped these while queueing outside the cafe (for another cheap food stall next door LOL). The bouquets and florals screamed SPRING don't you think? There are two goldfishes in the bowl of water too, looking at these made me so peaceful at heart.
i am currently using the organix moroccan shampoo (came in the bridal glamabox). it is not bad. but not one i will repurchase :P
