When you're reading this, dear reader, I'm packing my luggage and will be flying off soon on holiday. However I do want to get this review done before vacation, so you could give it a go before deciding what moisturizer to switch to for the sweltering heat of summer, so here you go! I will have internet access and will be replying to comments though, if I'm not too exhausted from the trip ; ) !
Lately I had the pleasure to be invited to the new launch event from GLYCEL, their White Ice whitening line had left me pretty impressed last time, so I was really looking forward to their latest release. It was a very enjoyable night with hearty home-made food.
So there's a makeup artist demonstrating how to use this protector as a primer + sunscreen prior to applying makeup, I love how multi-functional this product is!
The girl below was glowinggggg and looked radiant. Do you want to guess her age? Her skin was the best I've ever seen!
The whole lineup of the Aqua Power Range:
How cute was the food served!
Like I've said, this bottle literally screamed SUMMER! Talking about SPF, this product is the highest among all my moisturizers (SPF 30), and it has 40ml of product. Read on for the most interesting bit...
Directions and ingredients: basically it's a daytime protector with all the SPF so it's a daytime moisturizer, no doubt.
Here's the interesting bit that had me WOWed. The color is actually pastel baby blue as well! Contrary to most sunscreen (white-ish looking film left behind on the skin), Aqua Power Hydra-boosting Daytime Protector does not leave any tint or hint of sunscreen behind on the skin, once applied. It does not feel like a sunscreen at all. Yet it has all the sunscreen protection that you need. How about that!
The color might look blue to you but it actually come from algae sourced in Iceland. After letting it sink in for about 20 seconds, skin looks more quenched than before, more radiant, and there's no trace of greasiness left behind. Glycel had impressed me yet AGAIN with this awesome multi-tasking product.
I'm using it as a sunscreen + primer at the moment and very happy about it. It's retailed at HK$620 at all Glycel stores. Glycel has products selling across 60 countries so chances are that you will see this product soon if not now!
ok dear Jenni, now you are setting me up for a Glycel addiction too...where to get this for the European crowd? ;)
ReplyDeletethe brand is from Swiss and sold at 60 countries, I guess they might be available at some of the beauty salons at your area?! :)
DeleteI've never heard of this brand before but wow their sunscreen seems so much better than others because of the baby blue tint :P The packaging reminds me of H2o's packaging actually!
ReplyDeletethe baby blue tint looks very cooling Lol!
Deleteyou are right, Glycel and H2O belongs to the same parent company (at least in HK) now ;)
Wow your skin really doesn't look shiny or greasy AT ALL where you applied it--I can usually see a bit of shine or something with SPF products but it just looks like your skin! Ah I wish this were available here, I am very curious now!
ReplyDeleteI know right? there's no white ish cast nor shiny sheen after application! clwarly a winner :D
DeleteThat bottle is huge! Sounds like an awesome product. You`re really getting me curious about this brand, Jenni. :D
ReplyDeleteOh, and I hope you`re having a great vacation, wherever you went!
