Product Rave: Trilogy Eye Contour Cream

My obsession had slowly evolved from makeup to skincare lately, and in mid twenties, I'm bombarded with all sorts of eye problems, except puffiness maybe. I have a few fine lines developing at the inner corners, dry under eye area, and perennial dark circles, and dull eye area in general. During the past years I've delved into various little pots and tubes of eye creams, searching high and low for the best option. I know it's hard to find a single one which can rule them all (I still hope to!), but it will be great if I can tackle either the circles or the first lines! I first learned about Trilogy Eye Contour Cream from Ruth's blog post HERE. I was testing this eye cream out for a month and I'm glad I gave it a try!

Do bear in mind that this product is named "Eye Contour Cream" for a reason, it is formulated to tackle fine lines and reduce puffiness. It does NOT target circles, for that matter. If you have read my previous review on my first Trilogy product - their Balancing Gel Cleanser before, you will learn that Trilogy uses organic ingredients and is certified by BioGro as Natural Cosmetics. Trilogy products are manufactured in New Zealand, and they're best known for their Rose Hip Oil (of which I have heard so many good things about it and I'm dying to try!).

Since I'm paying more attention to skincare products recently, I've been studying some ingredients. With Trilogy, I know I'm in pretty safe hands with their selection of ingredients. The eye cream is formulated with Rosapene, aloe vera and acai. Rosapene is for anti-aging purpose, aloe vera is for cooling, acai is for rejuvenating the eye area. Also, carrot oil helps to repair.

It says it can restores and nourishes tired eyes - which is always a plus for those who had to stare at the screen for 8 hours at work, and then playing with gadgets, watching TV, etc. The cream does not have any scent, and is of a lightweight texture. The tube contains 20g of product which is enough for 6 months' use!

I thoroughly enjoy using this eye cream due to the following reasons: its texture being lightweight and quickly absorbed without a trace of grease; the best part is I see a more hydrated under eye area after applying this eye cream. How do I know? Because my concealer use to set in the fine lines under my eyes! Now the condition is much improved. I'm not saying that this cream made the lines disappear overnight but it definitely helped in with the hydration and makes the creasing bit less serious. I used to feel dreadful about concealer setting into the fine lines but I'm very positive this eye cream is my savior.

If you have eye issues like mine, I highly encourage you to take a look at this eye cream for its line-smoothing ability.
For now, I only need to search for a 'supplementary' eye cream to combat my dark circles :)

Trilogy skincare is sold at Boots, Lookfantastic, Lovelula.com, and Trilogyproducts.com (All links unaffiliated.) The brand is certified Carbon Zero, and the eye cream is well priced at 26.5 GBP / 320 HKD approx.

  1. sound like an eyecream I'd love. I love mine right now but I often suspect my skin getting lazy for the same cocktail of ingredients after a while, and then I switch products.

  3. Eye creams always break me out because they're too rich. This one sounds good! I don't think Trilogy is available in Canada though?

  4. Most Organic Eye Contour Cream is intended for long-term use. They can not only treat skin problems, but can also prevent them. So, it is a good idea to use a top-notch Organic Eye Contour Cream consistently to stay away from under eye circles and eye wrinkles.
