Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover Review

I wear eyeliner, concealer on a daily basis, and eyeshadows almost everyday. An eye makeup remover is my best friend at the end of the day and I go through bottles of them every 2 months or so. I've tested a few bi-phase removers so far, including Lancome's Bi-Facil, Chanel's, and a couple more others. today I'll share my thoughts on this product by Clarins.

The product comes in a 125ml bottle, they make another eye makeup remover but does not belong to the bi-phase category. The instant eye makeup remover featured in this post is suitable for stubborn eye makeup including mascaras.

I have something to say about the packaging - it looks ordinary but it's not the most user-friendly. The pouring hole is too tiny and when I slanted the bottle sideways to pour it onto the cotton pad, a lot of the products gushed out like there's no tomorrow. As such, I ended up using more than needed; this bottle is reaching its last legs in just about one month of opening.

There's also a rather 'chemical' smell (it's not scented) that does not really deter me from using, but is noticeable enough to the nose that I thought is worth mentioning. It's sold at nearly HK$200 and honestly I think you'll be better off buying a HK$50 of the same thing by other brands.

  1. I had a sample of this eye makeup remover in the past and remembered liking it.
Another few that I have used and liked besides the Bifesta is YSL's and 1028 (from Taiwan), but Bifesta is more economical and easily accessible.
Have you tried the Bifesta one yet?

    1. Hi Raspy, the Clarins one works OK but just not a HG material. I love 1028 too! And blogged about it before, I'll try the Bifesta once I finished up the stash LOL! I bought packs and packs of 1028 removers during my recent trip!
