Empties Post (July - October 2014)

Ready for another Empties Galore post? This one is rather long, I have to say though, the shampoos and conditioners and some cleansers are shared with my family, so those things are gone quickly!

Clarins White Plus HP+ Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser - A pearly drop that foams up to a nice lather. Not best for my skin, so I rarely use this.

Chanel Sublimage Yeux Eye cream - This is a freebie (6g!) It's quite rich and I suspect prolonged use gave me some milia. I just alternated this with other eye creams I had. I love the glass jar even though this is more a GWP size.

Crabtree & Evelyn Citron Honey & Coriander Replenishing Conditioner - Snagged from our last hotel stay in the US. Decent stuff.

Chanel Complete Daily UV Protection Anti-pollution SPF50 - Velvet to the touch when it dries down but it's not for my skin type unfortunately. I can't wait to remove it once applied *sad*.

Canmake Cover & Stretch Concealer UV Water Proof - My 3rd or 4th? tube. I only threw it away when I suspected it was spoiled by bacteria. I'm on a new tube again now.

Hakugen 5-layer cotton puffs - Went through so many boxes of this, stocked up even more.

Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water - Went through many bottles, a trusty good ol' staple.

Bausch & Lomb re-nu contact lens solution - GWP.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Stick - Even though I don't want to say I like it, but this is an emergency kit staple because you never know when it'll be useful.

Pai Fragonia & Sea Buckthorn Instant Hand Therapy Cream - Full size free with purchase a while ago. Nice bedtime treatment. Quickly absorbed, no discernible scent, no grease!

More puffs.

IsaDora Colorful Eyeliner in Navy Blue, Innisfree Powerproof Brush liner (TOSSED) - The IsaDora one irritated my eyes whenever I applied it - possibly alcohol content in it stings my lids. Innisfree one comes off in flakies and I need to spend triple time to remove it, so no.

IsaDora Colorful Eyeliner in Black (TOSSED) - Same reason as above.

JASON Sea Fresh Antiplaque & Strengthening Toothpaste - Second tube gone. Looking for alternatives that has a greater mint taste / sensation and higher cleansing ability. Anyone??

Kimberly Sayer Restore Anti-aging Cream - Love anything by this brand. Simple, effective, gentle.

Natural Empathy Luxury Natural Hand Lotion - Lavender-scented, quite runny, but soothing to the senses. Too bad it turns into a watery goop after opening a while.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye - This is possibly the cleanest thing I found from the brand, love the scent (I don't usually like lavender), my eyes seem to be less tired in the morning after.

DHC Eye Mask patches - Staple for puffy eyes.

More cotton puffs.

Nature's Gate Tea Tree Conditioner - The texture is hard to squeeze out, it sits like an unmovable goop inside a bottle. Don't buy it, or if you do, don't buy Tea Tree.

Nature's Gate Biotin Shampoo - Would continue to buy this and the Chamomile shampoo. The Biotin one is a bit minty and is a godsend in summer months.

Bausch & Lomb re-nu contact lens solution - Jumbo size.

Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover - Shouldn't buy this next time - it works just like any other bi-phase removers, despite its higher price tag.

Logona Bio Rose Toner spray - OK but not rocking the boat. The bottle is made of glass, scent is not very typical rose.

PCA Skin Facial Wash Phaze 1 - Recommended by the Derm. Nice but not paying for it anymore.

Kiehl's Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment (TOSSED) - This worked good things on spots, until I was diagnosed with skin issues I stopped using it in order not to complicate things. This was an expensive product too may I add.

Dr. Bronner's Liquid Soap in Peppermint - This is officially a must-have in the bathroom ALL YEAR ROUND. The peppermint is cooling in sweaty summer showers, while clears the senses in winter.

Oasis Sun Face & Body Sunscreen - Simple ingredients (just a handful) with zinc and titanium oxide. Plus: no scent at all. Minus: dispensing the product, the goop around the dispenser cap will dry up and crack, Also it's easy to splat out a huge dollop. No white cast though.

Shu Uemura Duo Fit Pressed Powder - My second pan. Unfortunately the compact did not survive the first pan...might repurchase this when I used up everything. This is very compact for travel purposes too. I like it when pressed powders are not totally translucent but has a bit tint to it when touching up.

Green People Organic Children Sun lotion Medium SPF25 - This is not a lotion but more like a sun cream. It takes time to spread out evenly but is possible. More ideal for colder temperatures I think, my face melted off in the summer heat in less than 5 minutes.

More puffs.

Giorgio Armani Silk Smooth Waterproof liner in Dark Brown - Doesn't budge before, now it'll smudge a bit on my eyelid, which is weird...Anyhow, the stem broke a few times within the shaft. This is an A-grade liner in my book if not for that.

Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve - Lovely travel companion. Emollient but not greasy. However it started to make my hands itch when the tube is sliced open. This was a GWP / birthday gift.

Dr. Bronner's Hand & Body Shikakai Soap (Baby Unscented) - I love Dr. Bronner's soaps and especially the shikaki ones for hand washes. These are not harsh on the skin and yet make my hands squeaky clean and completely grime-free.

Unknown brand wet wipes.

Biosolis SPF 50 Extreme Fluid Sunscreen - This left a white cast on my skin but texture-wise it out-performs every natural sunscreen I tried so far! Velvet to the touch, doesn't cause allergy, high SPF protection, no scent. The texture will easily trick you to believe it's one of the department store brands!

Jill Stuart Body Scrub - The Scrub melted off / dissolved when coming into contact with water for 3-5 seconds so there really isn't much effect using it in the shower. Also it left a slightly greasy film behind after rinsing.

The Body Shop Candied Ginger Shower Gel - Love gingerbread-scented-anything and everything. Wish more brands release this type of scent.

Paul & Joe Moisturizing Primer (shade forgotten) - Nice for cooler temperatures but wish it has a higher SPF.

Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in Birthday Suit - This shade is my HG, I'll slice out some of it to put into a jar and take it to travel with me. Too bad this has to bite the dust and it's been 4 years!

Nature Republic Snail Therapy Hydrogel Mask Sheet - Loving these hydrogel mask sheet because they fit and hug to my skin tightly and never fell off. Effect was visible as well.

Canmake Fragrance Body Mist in Fresh Raspberry - Nice scent at first but it doesn't last more than 5 minutes after spraying. I mostly used this on my hair. It leaves everywhere sticky once you applied it. BAD.

Giorgio Armani Crema Nera Extrema Moisturizing Cleansing oil-in-gel - What a mouthful. The product is a pearly drops you apply to your skin dry, then rinse with water and it'll turn milky. Not quite sure of its performance since the sample is rather small.

Lavera Soothing Moisturizing Fluid - Non greasy and pleasant. I used it on my body though.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Eye Cream - This helped with undereye lines and eyes helps to make them less puffy (at least that's what I like to think). Doesn't help with circles though.

Lavera Mattifying Lotion - Interestingly this was a bit greasy...not gonna buy it.

Lavera 24H Moisturizing Cream - Nice but not buying a full size.

Nature's Gate Herbal Shampoo - Staple and trusty.

Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water - Same as above.

More wipes and wet wipes.

Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover - I like that it has no scent but won't buy it at its full price.

That's all for the 4 months, hope everyone has a great November!
