Burberry Summer Splash Palettes' Swatches

I received this promo in my inbox yesterday, Burberry is releasing LE palettes this summer! Who knew?

I dashed to the counter straight away and managed to catch these little gems on the phone. There are 2 Splash Palettes in the release, the Fresh Glow Primer in Bronze version, Fresh Glow primer (regular), two eyeliners, Fresh Glow Powder Highlighter, and a radiance bronzer (not sure about the name), 2 lipsticks (one is called Nude Peach, I think it's No. 22). This is all I know so far, the promo email wasn't too informative.

Following stock images from ELLE.com.hk. Each palette has 2 cream shadows on the upper row, and a powder eyeshadow on the bottom row.
The above palette is a cement-brown cream shadow (I'd love to call this a taupe but it really er...isn't, the shade itself is pretty 'flat', you will see in my swatches below), and a light aqua blue cream shadow. Both contains very little shimmer (see swatch pics). The shade in the bottom is a powder eyeshadow, it reminds me of Pale Barley but Pale Barley is darker and has more of a bronze tint. This shade is lighter.

The darker palette embodied a plum shade with shimmer, a royal blue with shimmer, the bottom shade is a bronze.

Fresh Glow Powder for highlighting.

Bronzer (no info on the name)

Fresh Glow Primer in a bronze version. It dispenses copper brown shimmer liquid which I imagine would look fantastic on darker skin tones, or those who want to create a tanned face.

Darker palette swatched on the top, lighter palette is swatched at the bottom.

I found the cement shade in the middle of the bottom row is rather flat and dull-looking, I wouldn't call it a taupe...the aqua blue on the left is too bright for my taste. I only like the powder shade.

For the darker variation, the plum shade in the middle would look fantastic with the bronze. I would skip the royal blue cream on the left though. I deliberately paired both blues together to compare.

Hope these help!

    1. I hope they'll come up with cream shadow sticks as they're my new love! Don't really fancy cream products in a palette as it can get messy when the powder spills to the creams! xx

  8. OOOO thanks for sharing, Jenni! It'll probably take forever for these to show up in Belgium. I might have better luck when I'm in Taipei this July! They're fun! Different from what Burberry normally does, but they do look like Burberry quality!

    1. Belgium is a city I didn't visit last time in Europe - but EU isn't exactly a good place for shopping MU ;) I mean I paid almost double for MAC than I paid here!

hehe look out for them in TW!

  10. Its so unusual to see Burberry do blues!!! Love the bronzes though. Do you know if the eyeliners in this collection are re-promotes or new LE shades?

  11. OMG is this going to be released in U.S too? I cannot wait! I actually will probably pass on the eye palettes but the Fresh Glow in powder form looks GORGEOUS, as does the bronzed version of the Fresh Glow Primer :D
