Burberry's latest spring offering - a Complete Eye Palette with shades of greens - gets me terribly excited. I"m not big on greens usually but I find this palette's colors extremely wearable. Knowing it's Burberry, it almost whispers "muted" to me so I'm not afraid the colors will be too 'loud' for my liking.
The palette comes with the signature Burberry motif velvet pouch, and three tiny brushes:
#15 Sage Green is an LE palette as far as I know. The other palette is called English Rose, which I found a bit dull and a bit warm for Asian skin tones. Plus, English Rose looks just so typical, safe, neutral, etc.
I love every Burberry palette I own - they feel so solid and the compact is so sleek.
Featuring an ivory beige, a pale-barley-look-alike brown (it's a bit darker than Pale Barley truth be told, but not significantly different I'd conclude), a moss light green, and a green I've never owned before - I can't come up with a word to describe it but there you can see it here:
I'd say the quad swatches without obvious shimmer, they all have a slight sheen to them but not shimmer. Shall I call them demi-matte like the Becca shadows? I find this palette very wearable without being too loud nor too dramatic. It definitely speaks of Spring and the grass in a garden. Soft rays of sun and glimmering florals and trees. It's beautifully done. Admittedly, you will have to be fine with using greens before going ahead with this palette.
I really appreciate what Burberry does this Spring - adding a bit of fun colors to their range. And I hope to see more of this!
