DiorSnow Fresh Cheeks Glowing Colour Powder Blush, 5 Couleurs in #874 Tenderness Swatches (Asia-Exclusive)

Hey Beauties, I'm THRILLED to show you 2 items from the Asia-Exclusive DIOR SNOW collection today. Take a deep deep breath before you proceed to read.

DIORSNOW has never quite captured my attention during the past few years, but this year is remarkably different - with a well-performing, pigmented quint, and a multi-striped blush palette, it IS a whole other story.

The quint is #874 Tenderness (I wonder why Guerlain and Dior both used the word 'tenderness/tendres' this Spring in their product names - seems too much of a coincidence!), it has 6g of product. DiorSnow Fresh Cheeks Glowing Colour Powder Blush has a whopping 12g of powder.

Here's the quint in action:

All 5 shades are buttery soft and easy to apply (I applied mine without primer).
The middle shade is an iridescent silver with the slightest touch of pink, the shimmer is very, very fine. The top right hand corner is a cotton candy pink, also iridescent. Then I swatched the coral on the top left, then the bubblegum pink on the bottom left. AND LASTLY, I bring you the most intriguing color in the pan - a taupe WITH PINK TINGE to it. It's no ordinary taupe nor brown, it reminds me of Armani Eyes To Kill Eyeshadow #30 with a hue of pink, albeit it is with taupe (not silver grey) this time. I find this shade very unique.

I took the swatch pics under different lighting in the above described order.

The two colours on the right are differentiated by their sub-tones (if there's such a thing?!). In the third swatch pic, you will see they are indeed quite different.

DIORSNOW Fresh Cheeks Glowing Colour Powder Blush comes in a sleek, white compact, even the box itself is white. The velvet pouch is in dove grey and has an exterior lined pocket to store the silver brush (pink bristles).

The snowflake motif printed on the blush is exquisite - there's no overspray in this blush. The top tier is a bubblegum pink (matte), second stripe is a cotton candy pink (also matte). The third stripe, is to be used as a highlighter if you wish, and contains minimal shimmer. The bottom tier is a coral pink, minimal shimmer.

I swatched the blush according to the order of the colors described above. On the right shows how it looks like when blended. Again, different lighting is shown.

Overall, the 2 pieces are clear winners in terms of quality. If you're a blush fiend (No, you don't call yourself a blush fiend until you see what we did back in 2011), you need to own this piece to complete your blush wardrobe. The 2 pieces echo each other and screams SPRING! PINK! together, do swatch that taupe with pinkish tinge if you have the chance!

  5. I can see how these two can work as a lovely spring look. The blush is gorgeous! I never paid attention to the Diorsnow range - their foundie/powder didn't impress me but love the sunscreen so to see colour cosmetics is a surprise. I'll go swatch them at a counter asap!
