Empties: January - March

Shall we liven up the space here with the first installment of Empties in 2015?

Weleda Body Oils mini in Wild Rose, Lavender, Sea Buckthorn, Citrus, Pomegranate (L-R) -
Each of the scent has their accompanying functions, Sea buckthorn is my favorite scent, it smells tangy and not sickenly sweet, nor is it overwhelming. Bought these in a trial set and they've been a luxury to use.

Nature Republic Snail Therapy 1000 Hydrogel Mask Sheet - This does not need any introduction, my favorite tackle-all mask sheet that comes in a hydrogel sheet which hugs the skin closely.

MyChelle Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum - Sample too small to test if it works, but I did like the texture which was easily absorbed.

Origins Plantscription Anti-aging Eye Treatment - Not too sure whether this should be used as an eye serum prior to eye cream, the texture is rather emollient, guess this was just OK.

Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream - I'm loving their revamped scent and packaging so much more!

Facial cotton puffs...

SK-II Stempower face cream - A multi-tasking moisturizer that sinks in my skin, probably a bit rich for sensitive skin though. But for general skins, can't go wrong with this.

Contact lens solution

Dr Bronner's Liquid Castille Soap in Eucalyptus - Been using this to wash my makeup brushes, love it.

SANA Hadanomy Collagen Mask Sheet - HG mask for moisture replenishment and rejuvenation of dry, tired skin.

1028 pH7.5 Hydrating Eye & Lip makeup remover - My staple. Cheap and efficient.

TATCHA Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream - Texture is like a balm, I'll give this a thumbs up.

Apivita Tonic Lotion for Normal / Dry Skin - This lotion has a nice fragrance to it but I can live without one. It was OK but nothing wow.

Facial cottons.

Canmake Cover & Stretch Concealer UV - This will be my N-th tube to date. I hope they won't stop making this!

The Face Shop Hyaluronic Acid face mask - poor mask fabric, doesn't tug to skin closely and the fabric was too thick, it doesn't feel like it's clinging to skin, rather like sitting on top of the face and doesn't do anything.

Apivita Natural Serum in Radiance and Anti-Wrinkle - I like the ones for Radiance, again they carry a scent that I can go without. Nothing to write home about.

Clarins Body Oil - How is one supposed to use it? It's greasy after application and doesn't seem to wash off...[note: It's supposed to be used pre-shower as to reduce water retention, but I ain't got any time for that.]

Konjac Sponge with red clay (for face) - I used this in the shower on my body, the surface broke after a week's use and this was OK. Might get a bigger one to use in the shower since hoping for a better grip and a larger surface area.

Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil & Neem Toothpaste - This was quite nice alternative to Jason's toothpaste. The Jason's one I have to stopped using for a bit because it didn't prevent my teeth from staining :/

Facial cottons.

Pure Fiji Body Butter - Given to me by Michelle of Cosmetic Cupcake, the scent reminds me of spa vacation, finished this too soon!

Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water - Staple around this house...

Dr. Hauschka Hand Cream - Too runny, an alcoholic scent and is quite overpowering, it'll fair well in normal weather but for winter you need to up the ante with heavier stuff than this.

The Body Shop Early-harvest Raspberry Shower Gel - This smelled way too yummy so I wouldn't share with anyone :P Used this bottle up way too soon - wish they make this scent permanent!!! Yes, I realized it has SLS but the scent totally won me over.

Jill Stuart Body Cream - Not a big fan of the scent (unless you like florals), OK but nothing to write home about.

Dr. Bronner's Hand & Body Shikakai Soap - Staple hand soap for me, doesn't strip hands of moisture. Will keep having this around the house.

A'kin Lifting Eye Cream - Generous sample size, but it didn't do anything for my eyes.

Chanel Le Blanc Lightening Moisture Nano-lotion - These are in fact toners. The texture was rather thick for a toner, but it absorbed well. My skin doesn't want whitening though...

Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser - Gentle, doesn't strip skin. Pleasure to smooth on skin and massage. Rinse easily as well.

DHC Eye Mask - Staple, need to use it more often.

Topicrem Gentle Cleansing Water - Close relative to Bioderma Micellar. This doesn't have fragrance and is suitable for babies too. Will be buying more of these as it's more affordable (and equally as popular in French Pharmacy) than Bioderma.

Kiehl's Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum - Would totally buy this if not for the price. This was a bit luminescent (reflective, pearly) but doesn't show after application. I quite like it, although can't think of a word to describe its effect.

Kiehl's Eye Alert - This was supposedly for guys, but it doesn't matter to me really. No fragrance, multi-tasking eye balm. I think it's not heavy duty enough for my eye problems.

Contact lens solution.

Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castille Soap in Rose - Not too keen on rose scent. Prefer Peppermint or Almond instead.

1028 Hydrating Eye and Lip Makeup Remover - Another staple used up.

Desert Essence Tea Tree Replenishing Shampoo - Surprisingly fine for everyday use, although I'd recommend a conditioner every few days still. It's not as drying as I thought tea tree would be.

RMK Cleansing Oil - Using this to wash off swatches and after applying makeup with fingers. I use Micellars on my face for makeup removal (first cleanse).

The Face Shop CoQ10 sheet mask - One of the worst mask fabric I've ever seen. Doesn't sit on skin properly (lots of gaps), and the lotion doesn't seem to sink into the skin.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner - Dries out pretty easily and the SA told me to use a scissor to pluck out the felt tip, and reverted it (felt tip was both ways), it works after that for a while, but the tip would dry off after I drew 2 separate lines. Once it's on, it stays put though. But do not rub it under any occasion as it will 'flake' and the line will have 'gaps' in between.

Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Body Lotion - This is light weight, isn't greasy, but probably not enough for winter months.

Visee Lash Treatment Essence - From the popular drugstore makeup brand in Japan "Visee", this lash essence did nothing but my lashes fall off even more than when I was using Talika (that stuff was totally HG btw). I would wake up with lashes covered in dried out bits, yikes.

TATCHA Supple Moisture Rich Silk Cream - Lovely texture, is not greasy nor was it too thick, sinks in no time.

Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter - Nice scent, decent job in moisturizing.

That's all for the 1st installment of the year! Next post I shall be bringing you some exciting new skincare product. Stay tuned!
